We help churches achieve their mission.

Sine Cera gives church leaders a more meaningful way to understand, develop, and engage volunteers and staff.

Who We Are

Sine Cera is an assessment and development platform designed to help churches discover, understand, and cultivate the individual contributors within their congregation and team. Through thoughtful assessments, personalized insights, and practical development resources, Sine Cera seeks to connect self-understanding with purposeful action.

Our work is grounded in the belief that each person is intentionally created by God, with a unique capacity to contribute, both in life to the church.

We approach this belief with humility: an assessment can illuminate patterns and prompt reflection, but it cannot define a person’s worth, identity, or calling.

Guiding Principles

Our Mission

To equip Churches in fulfilling their mission by providing practical tools to recognize, understand, and cultivate the God-given gifts entrusted to their people.

Through greater understanding of themselves and others, we help individuals and teams put those Gifts into action through purposeful contribution.

Our Vision

Building Church communities where every individual recognizes the gifts that God has entrusted to them, values the Gifts of others, and contributes to something greater than themselves.

A community where those Gifts are cultivated, brought together, and put into action to create lasting good.

Our Commitment

We believe that every Church, regardless of its size or resources, should have access to meaningful tools that help its people discover and cultivate their God-given Gifts.

We are committed to making these tools practical, accessible, and affordable so that more Churches can strengthen their ministries, develop their people, and extend their impact.

Our Assessment Philosophy

Without Wax

Legend tells of ancient Greek and Roman sculptors who would sometimes conceal cracks, chips, or imperfections in marble by filling them with wax.  A buyer might not notice the repair at first, but over time, heat or sunlight would cause the wax to melt and reveal what had been hidden.

According to the story, superior craftsmen whose work contained no concealed flaws would mark or advertise their work Sine Cera – Latin for “without wax.”

Nothing concealed, nothing artificially filled in. What you see is what is truly there.

Sine Cera isn’t saying we have no flaws, rather that we don’t have to disguise them.  We are gifted, not perfect. In fact, the very things that make us exceptionally strong in one area often means we aren’t naturally strong somewhere else.

Our philosophy at Sine Cera is simple: Know what is genuinely there just as much as you know what isn’t. Don't disguise either one. Then become excellent with the gifts you have been given.

As we learn in 1 Corinthians: we were never intended to be everything, rather we are intended to contribute something – let’s discover what that is together.

Your gifts are what you carry.

Your contribution is what you create.
